Who we are
Snohomish Radio Aero Club is a 501(C)(3) Private RC Flying Club, with a flying field open to all current members located just north of the City of Snohomish. Our goal is to provide an easily accessible flying site to our members and to promote a safe and friendly RC flying experience.
We are also committed to working with the youth in our community to promote not only an interest in aviation but in the Science, Math, Engineering and Techology required for a career in the Aviaion Industry.
We are chartered with the Academy of Model Aeronautics as Club #650.
History of SRAC
SRAC was founded in 1953 as the Seattle Radio Aero Club with a flying field at what is now Magnuson Park at Sand Point on Lake Washington. When this original field became unavailable, SRAC leased a a flying site near the Arlington Airport from 1959 through 1966. In 1967, we moved to our current 25 acre site and later changed the name to Snohomish Radio Aero Club
